What this site is

EatYay ("we," "us") publishes nutrition and food-facts information sourced from USDA FoodData Central, official restaurant/brand nutrition disclosures, and originally written articles and recipes. This policy explains what information is collected from visitors to this site and how it's used.

Information we collect

We do not require an account to use this site, and we do not directly collect personal information such as your name or email address unless you choose to provide it (for example, by emailing us).

Like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information through analytics:

Usage data: pages visited, time on page, referring site, approximate location (derived from IP address, not precise location), device and browser type.
Cookies: we use Google Analytics (GA4), which sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. See "Third-party services" below.

Third-party services

Google Analytics (GA4): used to understand site traffic and which content is useful. Google's own privacy policy governs how Google processes this data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
